Job Description

Job Title:
House Manager / Family Assistant /
Executive Support Location:
South Orange County, CA Schedule:
~25 hours/week (Monday-Friday afternoons; some flexibility)
Start Date:
ASAP About Us:
We're a high-functioning, active family of four (plus two big, sweet dogs) looking for a true right hand — someone who can step in and run the household the way I would if I weren't balancing full-time work, kids' activities, and everything in between. This is more than a nanny or housekeeper — it's a hybrid role for someone who excels at managing the moving pieces of modern family life with thoughtfulness, initiative, and calm efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
We need a House Manager / Family Assistant / Executive Support hybrid — a proactive, detail-loving, trustworthy professional who sees what needs to be done and gets it done before we even ask. You'll partner closely with me to keep the household running smoothly — not just checking boxes, but anticipating needs, creating systems, and eliminating the mental load that comes with a busy life.
Core Responsibilities:
This role blends home management, light executive assistant support, and family logistics.
Typical weekly responsibilities may include:
Household Management Daily tidying, laundry, light cleaning, dishwasher/dishes, and general upkeep Home organization and systems (kids' closets, backpacks, pantry restocking, etc.) Managing inventory of household supplies, groceries, and essentials Overseeing service providers (e.g., housekeepers, handymen, pest control) Errands & Meal Support Grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, post office, etc. Healthy meal prep (nothing gourmet — just fresh, family-friendly basics) Managing school lunch/snack items and family calendars Childcare & Logistics Daily school pickup and driving two daughters (ages 8 and 10) to gymnastics practice Occasional help managing activity schedules, forms, and school events Friendly, engaged support — no formal "nannying," but an adult presence they love and respect Pet Care Care two large dogs (feeding, walks, vet appts, etc.) Executive/Personal Assistant Support Occasional support with scheduling, returns, gifting, event prep, or family travel logistics Acting as a true second brain for household management: reminders, lists, follow-through
Ideal Candidate:
Highly organized, systems-driven, and loves bringing order to chaos Experienced in family/household assistant or executive support roles Warm, professional, and deeply trustworthy Comfortable managing up and taking ownership — not waiting to be told what to do Safe, reliable vehicle and clean driving record Dog- and kid-loving, with great energy and strong boundaries Ideally local to South OC with long-term availability
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay (commensurate with experience) Mileage reimbursement for driving
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location:
