About Our Family We're an on the go, high-achieving family living in the heart of Stanford. Both parents carry demanding professional careers, and our household runs at a fast pace. Our son (age: 8) is an active, curious kid with a full schedule of after-school activities, including competitive travel soccer, math tutoring, and piano lessons. We cook at home regularly, value a tidy and well-organized space, and genuinely enjoy hosting family and friends. While our schedules are busy, family time is incredibly important to us and we'd love to be even more intentional with the time we have. We're thoughtful about who we bring into our home and we're looking to build a trusted, long-term professional relationship. We're not looking for someone to parent alongside us; instead we're seeking a highly competent, experienced professional who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates clearly, and makes our home run smoothly so we can fully show up for our family at the end of the day. Our household currently has support with bi-weekly cleaners and landscapers, and we're entering an exciting season with larger projects and life changes on the horizon. A significant backyard landscaping project is getting underway and a puppy may also be joining our family later this year

Capable of creating and maintaining systems for household organization, tasks and daily routines to keep the household running smoothly Key Responsibilities Family Support Provide reliable transportation for school pickups and a full range of after-school activities Serve as backup childcare support on an as-needed basis Meal Support Prepare 2-4 weeknight dinners per week, with the goal of having ingredients prepped, marinated, and ready to finish when parents arrive home Accommodate a mixed-dietary household: one mostly vegetarian adult and two omnivores, with some specific preferences Grocery shopping based on weekly meal plan and household needs Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Laundry & Linens Wash, fold, and put away laundry Ironing, steaming, and special garment care as needed Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry space Household Organization & Maintenance Light daily tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas Prep home before cleaners arrive Create and maintain household organization systems in collaboration with the family Coordinate donation drop-offs Manage indoor and outdoor plant care Handle routine maintenance items such as changing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors Support event, holiday, and guest prep as needed Inventory & Errands Restock pantry, refrigerator, and household supplies Manage running household supply lists and coordinate household orders Handle returns, dry cleaning, and other similar errands as needed Break down and dispose of boxes Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Periodic fridge deep cleans Clean and maintain humidifiers, air purifiers, and furnace filters (annual replacement) Organizational projects for toys, sports gear, and seasonal items Vehicle Upkeep Schedule routine family vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) Coordinate vehicle registration, insurance tracking, and smog checks as required Light cleaning and organization of family vehicles Vendor & Property Oversight Serve as a communication liaison with cleaners, landscapers, and contractors Research repair vendors and coordinate quotes, presenting options with recommendations Manage outdoor spaces and general tidying of exterior areas Administrative & Personal Assistant Support Household calendar coordination Support scheduling appointments Light travel planning and research support as needed How to Apply To be considered for this role please submit A short intro letter telling us a bit about yourself and why this role is a great fit An updated resume 3 professional references with contact information including name, relationship, phone number, and email.
