Job Description

Overview At Wild Pastures Burger Company, how we close the restaurant matters just as much as how we open it. A strong close keeps the restaurant clean, organized, stocked, and prepared for success the next day while maintaining the speed, hospitality, and food quality our guests expect through the final ticket of the night. As a Closing Manager, you are responsible for leading the evening team through high-volume service/dinner rush while maintaining standards, accountability, and urgency. This role requires someone who can manage the flow of the restaurant, keep the team focused, ensure the lobby and kitchen remain clean throughout the night, and execute a thorough, efficient close without cutting corners. We are looking for a leader who takes ownership of their shift, communicates clearly, and understands that standards still matter at 9:55 PM. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all evening operations from midday cleaning, dinner rush, and through final close Ensure fast, accurate, and high-quality execution during peak service periods Maintain strong standards for food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and guest experience throughout the entire shift Keep the dining room, lobby, beverage station, bathrooms, and kitchen clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times Direct shift flow and position team members effectively to maintain speed and efficiency Manage and run employee breaks while maintaining operational coverage and service standards Hold team members accountable to side work, cleaning tasks, stocking, and closing responsibilities Ensure all closing procedures are completed fully and correctly before team members leave Complete nightly cash handling, drawer counts, deposits, and shift reports accurately Enforce food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures without exception Coach and correct employees in real time to maintain consistency, urgency, and professionalism Communicate clearly with opening management regarding inventory, equipment issues, staffing concerns, or anything impacting the next shift Ensure the restaurant is fully cleaned, organized, stocked, and set up for the following day Qualifications Previous restaurant management or strong shift lead experience required Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong understanding of restaurant flow, kitchen operations, and guest service standards Proven ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive and professional work environment Experience with cash handling, labor management, and nightly closing procedures preferred Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus Manager ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) required TIPS certified Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Highly dependable, punctual, and consistent under pressure What We're Looking For This role is for someone who leads with urgency and accountability while still supporting their team. We need a manager who can keep standards high late into the night, maintain strong service during busy rushes, and ensure the restaurant is truly clean and ready for the next day—not just "good enough." If you take pride in running organized shifts, enforcing standards, supporting your team, and leaving the restaurant better than you found it, you'll fit well at Wild Pastures Burger Company.
