Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary operations with passion, precision, and innovation. We have our daytime concept as a brunch/cafe and evenings we operate as a restauran/wine lounge. You will take care of all aspects food production and staff management, including creating a food menu in line with wine pairings. The ideal candidate will bring extensive culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, assist in managing front of house staff as well and fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence in food preparation and service. Oversee menu planning, ensuring a variety of innovative dishes that meet quality standards and customer preferences. Manage food production processes, including cooking, food handling, and food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain optimal hygiene standards. Control inventory levels through meticulous inventory management and inventory control practices, minimizing waste while ensuring availability of ingredients. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service delivery. Implement cost control measures to optimize food costs without compromising quality; monitor labor costs and shift management to maximize efficiency. Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols across all kitchen operations. Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, culinary techniques, and team management to develop staff skills and knowledge. Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with health department standards. Collaborate with management on budgeting, menu development, and customer feedback to continuously improve the dining experience. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong banquet, catering, or restaurant management background. Extensive culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, food service management, and kitchen leadership. Demonstrated supervising experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced settings. Knowledge of dietary department requirements and dietary restrictions handling. Expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food industry best practices. Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Prior experience in managing large-scale catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
