As a RGM, you'll oversee both the kitchen and front-of-house teams, drive sales and profitability, and develop a crew that's as strong as your coffee. You're a hands-on leader who keeps your eye on the guest, the plate, and the bottom line — all while keeping the vibe upbeat and authentic. Gunther Toody's GM:
Drives sales and guest loyalty by setting clear goals, coaching the team, and delivering consistently excellent service. Upholds operational standards through checklists, recipe specs, training tools, and process improvements where needed. Creates diner magic through warm hospitality, 1950s lingo, and authentic retro culture — both in service and team presentation. Manages and responds to all online reviews with professionalism, care, and brand personality. Ensures food and labor costs stay on target through effective scheduling, portioning, and ordering. Builds and manages the schedule for full coverage, team satisfaction, and labor efficiency. Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, disciplines, and develops staff, handling all aspects of team performance and personnel management. Maintains a clean, safe, and inviting environment — from front-of-house to back-of-house, booths to bathrooms. Ensures team compliance with food safety regulations and prepares for top marks on health inspections and internal audits. Leads by example — jumping in on the floor or in the kitchen as needed to support the team and service flow. Oversees inventory, delivery quality, and vendor management in line with company guidelines. Handles administrative duties including cash control, deposits, payroll, scheduling, and timely bill processing. Has reliable transportation for occasional grocery runs or operational errands. Qualifications:
Have a minimum of 4 years of full-service restaurant leadership experience, preferably in a high-volume or themed concept (2 years minimum RGM experience) Know your way around P&Ls, food and labor cost control, scheduling, and team development Have a proven track record of growing sales and hitting key performance goals like prime cost targets Are sales-driven, goal-oriented, and always looking for ways to bring more happy guests through the door Are certified in ServSafe Food Safety Management Can juggle multiple priorities — food quality, food safety, staffing, guest experience — without breaking a sweat Lead by example — from busting suds to busting a move on the floor when needed Bring energy, optimism, and a "we got this" attitude to every shift Are hospitality-focused, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences Thrive under pressure and solve problems on the fly without losing your cool Communicate clearly, coach with care, and build a culture of teamwork and accountability Are comfortable working a flexible schedule, and understand that most weekends and holidays are part of the gig You'll love working at Gunther Toody's because:Starting Salary:
$62,000- 70,000 and an uncapped bonus opportunity based on sales growth A benefits package that includes up to 50% employer contribution for health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid vacation.
