Position Description:
Responsible for Manager on Duty (MOD) Operations.
Responsibilities:
The MOD will report directly to the Service Manager and is the main contact for general guidance and questions when department managers are not on site. The MOD helps to ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly in all property divisions including front gate and retail, food and beverage, maintenance, grounds, lifeguards and operations. The MOD is also responsible for ensuring the safety for all employees, guests, and handles guest problems and complaints. MOD must be able to make quick informed decisions, administer basic First Aid, ensure all employees follow company policies including dress code, breaks, and cash handling. The MOD will also complete additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Leadership:
Must embrace and model the company mission, vision, core values and leadership principles. Leadership which involves motivating, communicating and guiding which requires coaching, assisting, problem solving and modeling. Model and hold staff accountable to company policies.
Personnel and Training:
Reward and recognize. Provide timely, constructive coaching for improvement. Conduct ongoing job training of personnel to include internal and external certifications. Resolve all conflict in a productive manner: guests, employee to employee, manager to supervisor. Use company resources such HR.
Administration:
Attend bi-weekly meetings with other managers. Work with the marketing department to obtain all required and informational signage, group events and media presence. Administer and implement developed procedures to line level staff.
Financial:
Excel proficient, capable of running daily reporting for sales and attendance.
Operations:
Oversee property operations to achieve stated objectives for presentation, safety, and guest service. Have a keen eye for property presentation. Ensure required daily, monthly and annual tasks are completed. Respond to guest inquiries and guest feedback in a professional manner. Work during our busiest times, which are weekends and holidays. Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by the Service Manager.
Requirements:
Required reading: What the Heck is EOS Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to please guests and employees. Possess and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Some travel required for retreats and training and development. Available to work full time including overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays. Expected to be available to assist in emergency situations. Represent the company with a positive and professional image. Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by your direct report.
Qualifications:
First Aid/CPR certificate. (IMHS will provide training within the first 60 days) Lifeguarding Certificate (training provided within the first 6 months) 3 years previous supervising and training experience required. Able to interpret both written & verbal instructions. Expert on all IMHS operations and safety procedures. Excellent communication and listening abilities. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick informed decisions. Capable of responding appropriately to emergency or incident situations. Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary. Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by your manager. Must be expert with what is offered in different areas of the property, including guest services, World Springs pools, mineral pools, retail items, food and drink options, in order to direct our guests. Must be familiar with the offerings of our sister properties, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Par, Zion Canyon Hot Springs, and World Springs Dallas. Must be available to work all shifts, at least one weekend day and holidays. Be a team player willing to pitch in when and where you are needed. Must be patient, poised and able to cope with special situations. Valid driver's license.
Compensation:
This position pays $21/hour to $26/hour with tips. Starting pay is $18.00-$22.00/hour with tips ranging from $3 - $4/hour.
