In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing daily operations, and fostering a motivated, high-performing team. Your leadership will ensure smooth restaurant functions, uphold food safety standards, and achieve business objectives through innovative management and outstanding customer service. Duties Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and team management to ensure high performance and engagement. Manage inventory control, food safety compliance, and ensure proper handling of food and beverages using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Supervise kitchen activities including cooking, food production, and maintaining cleanliness standards aligned with food safety regulations. Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, shift management, and reconciliation. Monitor financial performance by analyzing profit and loss statements; develop strategies to maximize profitability. Coordinate staffing schedules, interview candidates, and oversee staff training & development initiatives to build a strong hospitality team. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles within elevated casual or fine dining environments. Extensive knowledge of steps of service Familiarity with POS systems (namely TouchBistro) for order processing and sales tracking preferred. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team leadership, staff training, and managing hospitality teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage managerial responsibilities including interviewing and staff development. Solid understanding of food safety management practices and regulatory compliance standards. Strong knowledge in use of OpenTable reservation systems is preferred. Basic math skills, and knowedge of Microsoft Excel preferred. Experience using scheduling software, namely 7Shifts. "Go get 'em" management style. This is NOT an office position. You will NOT be sitting down. The ability to address an issue before anyone knows the issue is at hand is a HUGE plus. Assisting the staff to reach the goal of a perfect service is needed. Host, seat, bus, reset, barback, food run; all of these tasks are in the scope of the position within the shift on any given night. You will be able to tend bar, serve, and host at any given time. 5 nights a week. We are only open on Sunday during daytime hours, but are open 7 evenings a week. General arrival time is around 2:30PM or 3PM, leave betweeen 9PM and 10PM. 35-40 hrs/wk. No calls on days off. Work/life balance is of the utmost importance to us.
