$80,000-$100,000 per year, based on experience Buon Appetito is a very busy, established Italian restaurant in North Stonington, CT. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager to join our team and take a leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restaurant professional who is confident leading a team, managing a busy dining room, and maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant Lead, train, motivate, and manage front-of-house staff Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience Manage staffing, scheduling, and employee performance Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally Monitor labor, inventory, and operating costs Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees Oversee busy service periods and ensure the restaurant runs efficiently Help drive sales and maintain a strong, professional restaurant environment Work closely with ownership on daily operations and business goals Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience required Experience managing a busy full-service restaurant preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of restaurant operations and hospitality Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Professional appearance and attitude Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling, labor management, and restaurant operations Italian restaurant or fine-dining experience is a plus Compensation $80,000-$100,000 annual base salary, based on experience and qualifications. We are looking for someone who wants to be an integral part of the restaurant and is ready to take ownership of the day-to-day operation while working closely with our ownership team.
