Position Summary The Assistant Manager plays a critical leadership role in the successful launch and daily operations of a new Paris Baguette bakery café. This position supports the General Manager by leading day-to-day operations, developing team members, maintaining exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, ensuring food safety compliance, and executing Paris Baguette brand standards. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example while creating a positive, high-performing work environment focused on hospitality, quality, and operational excellence. Primary ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members. Participate in pre-opening hiring events. Conduct new hire orientation and training. Coach employees through daily feedback and performance discussions. Develop shift leaders and future management talent. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and respect. Resolve employee concerns professionally. Lead by example in attitude, appearance, and work ethic. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Guest Experience Deliver exceptional hospitality during every guest interaction. Resolve guest complaints quickly and professionally. Maintain high customer satisfaction scores. Ensure every guest receives accurate, friendly, and efficient service. Monitor café cleanliness and presentation throughout each shift. Encourage suggestive selling and hospitality-focused service. Operations Management Oversee daily café operations during assigned shifts. Execute opening and closing procedures. Monitor service speed and efficiency. Ensure proper product merchandising and display standards. Maintain bakery freshness and presentation. Supervise production flow between front and back of house. Coordinate with kitchen and baking teams to maintain inventory levels. Ensure operational readiness for peak business periods. Food Safety & Sanitation Ensure compliance with local health department regulations. Maintain ServSafe food handling standards. Conduct daily food safety inspections. Verify temperature logs and product rotation (FIFO). Monitor cleaning schedules. Enforce sanitation procedures. Ensure proper storage of food products. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace. Inventory & Product Management Assist with weekly inventory counts. Monitor food and paper costs. Receive deliveries and verify invoices. Rotate inventory using FIFO practices. Reduce waste through proper inventory management. Report shortages and product quality concerns. Maintain stock levels for all café supplies. Staff Scheduling Assist with creating weekly schedules. Ensure proper staffing levels. Approve shift changes. Monitor attendance. Manage call-offs. Fill scheduling gaps when necessary. Cross-train employees across multiple positions. Quality Control Ensure all baked goods meet Paris Baguette presentation standards. Monitor beverage quality. Verify recipe adherence. Inspect product freshness. Remove expired or damaged products immediately. Maintain consistent execution across all shifts.

From $45,000.00 per year
