Job Summary We are on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Closing Shift Assistant Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role is all about ensuring smooth and efficient operations during the closing hours of our restaurant, bar, or catering facility. You'll be leading the team, managing food and beverage service, overseeing safety standards, and making sure everything wraps up perfectly at the end of each day. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all activities during the closing shift to ensure efficient restaurant or bar operations. Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to maintain quality standards and safety regulations. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, assisting with ordering, and ensuring proper storage practices. Train and develop staff members on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures to foster a high-performing team. Handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience until closing time. Conduct end-of-shift procedures including cash reconciliation, reporting discrepancies, and securing premises. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with a focus on shift supervision. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for transactions and inventory control. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, interviewing, and team management. Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic budgeting tasks related to shift operations. Prior experience in casual dining, fine dining, or quick service & fast food environments is preferred. Exceptional customer service skills combined with a passion for hospitality management.
