As FOH manager at Trolley Tap House, you will work with our GM to ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. You will deliver a high-quality craft beer inspired menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. To be successful in this role, you need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and assist all of our staff. Back of the house management experience is is a plus, as you will also oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations. Ultimately, you will work with our general manager, fellow management team and all staff to ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Qualifications Proven consistent experience in restaurant management and staff training Strong background in food service management, bar and kitchen operations Expertise in supervising teams in a positive way and enhancing overall hospitality standards Familiarity with craft beer and casual dining environments Skills in inventory control Experience with POS systems, including Toast Excellent team management abilities Additional Responsibilities in this Management Role at Trolley Tap House will include: Scheduling Maintain adequate staff numbers of bartenders, servers, hosts, food runners & bussers to fill all shifts and have staffing for all events. Staffing needs will vary depending on special events, days of the week, and holidays and will be your responsibility to manage all front of house scheduling needs. Schedule extra labor to clean/deep clean if unable to accomplish during normal scheduling. Day to Day Taproom Responsibilities Ensure all front of house staff such as bartenders, servers and hosts are following items on daily opening, closing and cleaning checklists. Ensure that all standards are being followed to provide the best customer experience including "intangible" items in the tap room such as making sure music is correct level, lighting is correct, etc. to ensure the best customer experience. Able to interact with our guests in a positive way through table touching for feedback and familiarity. Ensure beer menus are printed and up to date. Alerting staff to new beers on tap, new procedures, new merchandise, specials, events & more. Responsible for the hiring, reviews, disciplinary and corrective actions with front of house staff. Cross train staff to ensure service runs without issues. Assessing operations to drive efficiencies and maximize sales. Assist in training the other shift/bar managers to ensure services run uninterrupted in event of assistant manager absence. Coordinate and supervise all front of house training programs and schedules. Cash handling/daily close outs, and daily deposit. Work with kitchen manager to promote food knowledge and what makes our products better with serving staff. Work with the general manager and bar manager in providing beer education opportunities for serving staff.
