As we approach a new era in facility planning, our engineering team is working night and day to continue the excellence which began in 1903. Hallowell is currently seeking an Assistant National Operations Manager for our multi-site distribution centers. Job Summary The Assistant National Operations Manager collaborates with the National Operations Manager to oversee five regional distribution centers. This role focuses on unifying performance benchmarks across all five locations to ensure seamless national fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities Multi-Site Oversight:
Align daily warehouse workflows, picking speeds, and shipping schedules across all five distribution hubs.
Logistics Optimization:
Evaluate freight networks, carrier performance, and last-mile delivery routes to cut national transit costs.
Inventory Control:
Monitor multi-location stock levels, shrinkage data, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to prevent supply chain bottlenecks.
Facility KPIs:
Define and audit key performance indicators (KPIs) like order accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and capacity utilization.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce uniform OSHA standards, hazardous material handling rules, and labor laws at every facility location.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and develop onsite warehouse managers, facilitating cross-location resource sharing during peak seasons.
Requirements and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years in warehouse management, specifically overseeing multiple distribution centers or high-volume fulfillment hubs.
Systems:
Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and complex Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Skills:
Expert-level data analysis, labor management planning, and cross-functional team leadership.
Travel:
Willingness to travel frequently up to 50% to audit and support the five distinct regional locations. Pay:
Up to $120,000.00 per year
