Manager - Restaurant Cove Brewery Deerfield Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $47,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Coaching Full Job Description Part-Time Hospitality Night Manager Cove Brewery | Deerfield Beach, Florida Cove Brewery is seeking an energetic, hands-on Part-Time Hospitality Night Manager to lead our afternoon, evening, and weekend operations ( out by 11:30 pm at the latest). This is more than simply supervising a bar. Cove Brewery is an event-driven neighborhood gathering place featuring craft beer, cocktails, live music, trivia, private functions, community programming, and our Social Club. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action—welcoming guests, motivating employees, creating energy, solving problems, and making sure each afternoon and evening is organized, engaging, and profitable. The primary mission of this position is: Elevate the guest experience, create energy, strengthen staff accountability, and help drive nighttime traffic and sales. Position Details Part-time management position Approximately 25-30 hours per week Primarily afternoons, evenings, weekends, and special events Annual compensation of $40,000-$47,000 , based on experience and qualifications Schedule will be built around Cove Brewery's busiest operating periods, with regular Friday and Saturday night availability required Key Responsibilities Nighttime Leadership and Visibility Serve as the visible manager on duty during assigned afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Maintain an active presence throughout the taproom rather than managing from behind the scenes. Welcome guests, engage regular customers, introduce yourself to new visitors, and help create a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Set the energy and pace for each shift while keeping employees engaged, professional, and focused. Take ownership of resolving guest concerns and operational issues as they arise. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives prompt, friendly, and attentive service. Reinforce Cove Brewery's established Steps of Service with bartenders and barbacks. Monitor the atmosphere, music, televisions, lighting, cleanliness, temperature, seating, and overall presentation of the taproom. Identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and encourage customers to stay longer, return frequently, and recommend Cove Brewery to others. Help make Cove feel like a neighborhood clubhouse—not simply a place to stop for one drink. Staff Supervision Lead, support, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and event personnel during assigned shifts. Conduct pre-shift meetings covering events, promotions, featured products, service expectations, and individual responsibilities. Assign side work and confirm that opening, shift-change, and closing duties are completed properly. Provide real-time coaching and professionally address service or performance issues. Communicate recurring staffing or operational concerns to senior management and ownership. Assist with training and onboarding new front-of-house employees. Events and Programming Help execute live music, trivia, watch parties, beer releases, Social Club activities, private functions, and other afternoon and evening events. Coordinate event setup, staffing, guest flow, signage, vendor needs, and breakdown. Ensure the taproom is properly prepared before each event and returned to operating condition afterward. Serve as the on-site contact for musicians, entertainers, hosts, vendors, and event clients when assigned. Create excitement around upcoming programming and personally encourage guests to return. Energy, Traffic, and Sales Create an upbeat, engaging atmosphere that helps attract and retain customers. Encourage staff to promote featured beers, cocktails, merchandise, upcoming events, and Social Club memberships. Identify practical opportunities to increase traffic and sales during slower afternoon and evening periods. Work with the marketing and events teams to capture appropriate photos, videos, and guest activity for social media. Share guest feedback and observations that may improve future events, promotions, and programming. Monitor Toast sales activity during assigned shifts and communicate unusual trends or concerns. Taproom Readiness Ensure the taproom, bar, restrooms, patio, entrances, tables, glassware, and service areas remain clean and properly maintained. Confirm that the bar is stocked with necessary beverages, supplies, glassware, menus, and operating materials. Assist with beverage and supply counts as directed. Identify maintenance, inventory, safety, or presentation issues and ensure they are promptly addressed or reported. Complete an accurate manager report at the end of each assigned shift. Safety and Compliance Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with applicable laws, health codes, and company policies. Monitor guest behavior and address unsafe or disruptive situations professionally. Ensure employees follow sanitation, safety, cash-handling, and closing procedures. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for guests and employees. Qualifications At least two years of restaurant, bar, brewery, entertainment, or hospitality experience. Previous shift-lead, assistant manager, or supervisory experience preferred. A naturally outgoing personality with a genuine interest in hospitality and customer engagement. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to coach employees and hold the team accountable professionally. Comfortable working in a busy, event-driven environment. Familiarity with Toast POS, Sling, or comparable systems preferred. Knowledge of craft beer, cocktails, wine, and responsible alcohol service is a plus. Reliable availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Regular Friday and Saturday evening availability is required. Ability to remain on your feet and actively engaged throughout each shift.
