About the Role A busy professional family of three in Coconut Grove is looking for a reliable, proactive House Manager / Family Assistant to bring ease, consistency, and organization to their daily life. The family lives in Miami 10 months of the year and spends 1-2 months between Florida and Chicago, with additional shorter travel throughout the year. They seek someone who can keep the home operating smoothly regardless of location. Deep cleaning support may be scheduled as needed, but you must genuinely enjoy daily cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a tidy, peaceful environment. This is a perfect role for someone who loves structure, takes initiative, and finds satisfaction in creating a calm flow within the home. Core ResponsibilitiesDaily Home Resets & Cleaning Support Perform a full home reset each day Maintain tidiness in the kitchen, living areas, bathrooms, and bedrooms Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry Change linens and maintain bedding as needed Ensure the home stays clean, peaceful, and clutter-free Household Organization Organize closets, drawers, and living spaces Maintain "ready-to-wear" wardrobe systems Track household supplies and restock proactively Keep systems consistent and easy for the family to maintain Errands, Shopping & Household Logistics Handle grocery shopping and Instacart orders Manage dry cleaning, returns, deliveries, and car cleaning Coordinate household vendors and maintenance appointments Support home readiness before and after travel Meal Support & Child Logistics Prepare light, healthy meals or snacks Assist with school-day routines (breakfast, prep, organizing) Perform school drop-off and pick-up as needed Maintain safe, responsible driving habits Travel Preparation Assist with packing, organizing, and unpacking Ensure the home is organized before departure Restore order upon family's return Requirements Must have: Previous experience as a House Manager, Executive Housekeeper, or Family Assistant Must genuinely enjoy cleaning and daily resets Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and anticipate needs Experience coordinating vendors and running household systems Comfort preparing simple, healthy meals Valid driver's license and safe, cautious driving style Ability to travel domestically 1-2 months per year Comfortable in a home with children present (minimal childcare) Fluent English; bilingual is a plus Comfortable around a small visiting family dog Communication & Technology The household communicates primarily through: WhatsApp for daily updates Shared digital tools or checklists (HUM Homes provides support as needed) Clear, consistent communication ensures the household runs smoothly whether the family is home or traveling.
