food safety and packaging regulations . Responsibilities Manage and supervise daily meal packaging operations. Ensure all meals are packaged, sealed, labeled, and prepared according to established food safety and quality standards. Monitor packaging procedures and implement quality-control checks to prevent errors. Ensure compliance with applicable USDA, FDA, and food safety regulations . Maintain accurate packaging, production, and quality-control records. Train and supervise packaging staff and ensure procedures are followed consistently. Identify packaging issues and take corrective action when needed. Work closely with kitchen, production, and management teams to maintain an efficient workflow. Monitor inventory of packaging materials and communicate when supplies need to be reordered. Help develop and improve packaging procedures and quality-control protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging area. Assist with inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in food packaging, meal production, food service, commissary, catering, or a similar operation . Strong knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations and food safety requirements . Experience supervising or leading a food production or packaging team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Ability to read and understand food labels, production instructions, and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with senior meal programs, meal delivery services, or large-scale meal production . ServSafe or other food-safety certification. Experience with HACCP or other food-safety/quality-control programs. Experience working with government or community meal programs.
