Part-time Position Overview We are a busy family in Odessa looking for a dependable, organized, proactive House Manager / Nanny to help keep our household running smoothly. This is a combination childcare and household-management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children but is also comfortable taking initiative with everyday household responsibilities, organization, errands, meal preparation, and family routines. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally sees what needs to be done and takes ownership without needing constant direction. Our household includes children of different ages, with the primary day-to-day childcare needs involving our 3-year-old and 11-year-old.

Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Picking children up from school, activities, or appointments Providing safe, attentive, and engaging childcare Helping maintain afternoon and evening routines Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children Assisting with family meal preparation Helping prepare lunches, backpacks, clothing, and other items for the following day Children's laundry Light household organization and tidying Keeping the kitchen and commonly used areas organized Running occasional errands or grocery pickups Helping maintain household supplies and organization Assisting with transportation to activities Occasionally helping with weekend activities or family needs Anticipating household needs and helping solve problems before they become stressful This position is not intended to be a housekeeping-only role, but we do expect the person in this position to help maintain an organized environment while caring for the children. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Extremely reliable and punctual Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys children Organized and detail-oriented Proactive and able to work independently Comfortable taking initiative without needing a detailed checklist throughout the day Able to multitask in a busy family environment Comfortable driving children Flexible when occasional family needs change Interested in developing a consistent, long-term working relationship with a family Prior experience as a nanny, family assistant, household manager, childcare provider, teacher, or similar role is strongly preferred. Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Safe driving record Ability to pass a background check Prior childcare experience preferred Professional references preferred Comfortable working around children of different ages Reliable attendance is essential Compensation $22-28hr Approximately 30-36 hours per week, depending on the family's schedule and candidate availability.
