Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and managing a team of staff to provide an exceptional dining experience. Duties Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining stock levels. Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures. Supervise kitchen management to ensure efficient food production and quality control. Implement effective budgeting strategies to maximize profitability. Handle cash management and POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for accurate transactions. Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee morale. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members. Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation in line with restaurant policies. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience. Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations as well as casual dining experiences. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on training & development of team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Experience in budgeting, inventory control, and cash handling practices. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality management. Background in banquet experience or catering is a plus. Proficiency in shift management and supervising staff within a busy kitchen environment.
