Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Dietary Manager is in charge of the kitchen and Dining Room, ordering of food and supplies needed. Responsible to perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner in accordance with the standards of AHCA and the County Health Department.
Daily Tasks:
1. Supervises, Hires, evaluates, and trains all food personnel staff, to include work schedules, vacation leave, and substituting. 2. Maintains 3 days' supply of non-perishable and water sufficient for drinking and food preparation. 3. Making sure all meals are served on time following the serving schedule. 4. Comply with special diets requested by the resident's physician. Ensure Diet list is always posted and up to date. 5. Follow proper dishwashing, food handling and hygiene procedures and making sure all dietary staff complies. 6. Allow only food service employees in the food service areas, no unauthorized personnel or residents are permitted. 7. Assure that the food service personnel are dressed appropriately for their positions 8. Food Storage should be locked at all times and maintained in an orderly fashion. 9. All garbage bags are to be tied securely before being disposed of in the dumpster. 10. Making sure all services are being delivered in a timely effectively manner. 11. Making sure menus are posted and up-to-date approved by registered dietician. Logging and keeping on file all meal substitutions up to 6 months. 12. Required to report to work in an emergency situation. 13. Responsible to Communicate with the Licensed Dietician about any questions or concerns in regards to the Menus. 14. Reports to Administrator all hazardous situations, broken equipment. 15. Ordering of food and other miscellaneous supplies needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Has Experience in food service, food preparation and serving of food particularly in a hospital or assisted living facility. 2. Good physical condition, Able to lift heavy loads, and handling of hazardous chemical's/hot equipment. 3. Knowledge of ALF Florida Statues 4.
Food Manager Certificate Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
