Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lead Night Shift Custodian to oversee evening custodial operations. This position is responsible for supervising night staff, ensuring high-quality cleaning standards, maintaining supplies and equipment, and serving as the on-site point of contact during the shift. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.

$23.00•$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift:
4:00 PM•12:00 AM (Monday-Friday, some weekends as needed) Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead custodial team during the 4:00 PM•12:00 AM shift Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed according to established standards Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and floor care Conduct nightly inspections to ensure quality control and address deficiencies immediately Train new custodians on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and PPE usage Lock/unlock designated areas and ensure facility security procedures are followed Report maintenance issues or facility concerns to management Qualifications Minimum 3 years of custodial experience Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, floor care, and equipment operation Ability to lead a team, provide direction, and maintain accountability Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
