In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food quality and safety standards, and drive the overall success of the café. Your leadership will inspire a team committed to hospitality excellence, efficient service, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for food service management and team leadership to make a positive impact in a dynamic setting. Duties Manage daily café operations, including opening, closing, and shift management to ensure smooth service flow. Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems, and food safety protocols. Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health regulations across all areas of the café. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, ongoing training & development, and performance evaluations. Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control measures. Foster a positive team environment by providing clear communication, guidance on managerial tasks, and promoting teamwork. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Coordinate catering events or special functions such as banquets or coffee tastings when applicable. Skills Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food handling safety practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square for order processing and sales tracking. Excellent team management skills with experience in staff training, supervising hospitality teams, and leadership roles in restaurant management. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling, inventory counts, and financial reporting. Effective communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, training staff, communicating cafe needs with leadership team, and managing customer relations. Experience in managing kitchen operations or food production within a hospitality or culinary setting. Knowledge of food safety management practices aligned with local health regulations. Strong organizational skills for shift management, inventory control, and maintaining operational standards across the café environment.
