Job Title:
Hotel General Manager Location :
Country Inn & Suites, Conyers, GA.
Job Summary :
As the General Manager (GM) of Country Inn & Suites, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel to ensure seamless service delivery, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and administration. The GM will also develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, control costs, and ensure that the hotel maintains a high standard of quality, service, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Oversight :
Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of all hotel departments, ensuring efficiency, smooth communication, and adherence to standards.
Guest Satisfaction :
Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high service standards, addressing guest concerns, and implementing quality control procedures.
Financial Management :
Develop and manage the hotel budget, oversee financial reporting, and analyze revenue and expenses to ensure profitability. Prepare and monitor monthly forecasts, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Staff Management :
Lead, mentor, and motivate hotel staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, training, and professional development. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide coaching for improvement.
Sales & Marketing :
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive bookings, implement promotional activities, and develop strategies to increase occupancy and revenue. Manage relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
Compliance & Safety :
Ensure compliance with local laws, health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the property, identify areas for improvement, and address any issues promptly.
Revenue Management :
Monitor room rates, occupancy levels, and competitor pricing, and adjust strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
Strategic Planning :
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for the hotel, aligning with corporate goals and evolving market conditions.
Brand Reputation & Relations :
Foster positive relationships with guests, suppliers, local businesses, and the community. Represent the hotel at industry events and maintain a strong online and offline reputation.
Crisis Management :
Effectively manage any operational crises, such as guest complaints, service breakdowns, or unexpected events, ensuring minimal impact on the guest experience.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry (at least 3-5 years of experience). Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff. In-depth operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship building. Proficient in hotel management software, property management systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Working Conditions :
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Will be on call to handle emergencies or guest-related issues. Some travel may be required for meetings, conferences, and training.
Pay:
$30,000.00 - $62,354.00 per year
