A Restaurant or Food Service Manager oversees daily operations at a restaurant or an institution that serves meals such as a college or hospital. Hires, trains and supervises food service workers, manages meal and work schedules, supervises supply orders, food preparation and the quality of food and service, and monitors compliance with health regulations.
The Asst General Manager will lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, profitability, and brand integrity. This role requires a visionary leader with a passion for hospitality, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire teams to deliver world-class experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services. Ensure compliance with brand standards and operational excellence. Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and innovative guest experience initiatives. Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost controls to achieve profitability targets. Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement among staff. Build strong relationships with guests, stakeholders, and the local community. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Ensure Brand Guest readiness requirements are implemented, executed and met daily/per shift Ensure staff is trained to perform their department duties effectively and efficiently. Ensure Corporate reports are accurate and submitted based on the timelines and SOPs Ensure there are daily, clean, clear communication with the department teams on events, groups, meetings, scores and pertinent projects on daily basis Ensure there is accountability following the company's HR policies and guidelines Ensure proper departmental inventory is documented and submitted as per the company's timeline and SOPs Ensure all guest's method of payment is valid, authorized per PCI compliance and is for the full amount of the stay. Ensure there are no payment arrangements made with any guest who checks in or in house. Payment is due at time of check in, in full plus incidentals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or 5 consecutive years as GM of Marriott branded hotel Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury or upscale hotel operations. Proven track record in delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and financial results. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex operations and lead diverse teams effectively. Ability to recognize team's strengths and weaknesses, building the existing team up to be more efficient, effective and knowledgable of how to perform their departmental duties and assignments Must possess strong computer and administrative capabilities using various programs to manage and report on labor, sales, revenue etc. Strong Office 365 exp required Strong knowledge of B&F and supporting POS Proven track record in managing labor vs revenue, daily
