Assistant General Manager / Event Coordinator
Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant General Manager/Event Coordinator and play a pivotal role in driving hospitality excellence! This energetic leadership position is designed for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong management skills, and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. As an integral part of our management team, you will oversee daily operations, support sales growth, and ensure total guest satisfaction. Your proactive approach and leadership will help foster a positive team environment and promote operational efficiency across the restaurant. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing all store functions, including sales, inventory control, and staff management. This role will include role of Event Coordinator and Catering Manager Lead and supervise front of house teams to maintain high standards of customer service. Manage daily restaurant operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS system management, and merchandising. Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure they meet performance standards and company policies. Monitor inventory levels Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and budget adherence to maintain financial health. Experince booking private events Proven experience in restaurant management with strong supervisory skills; previous assistant manager or managerial roles are highly valued. SKILLS Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage managerial conversations confidently. Ability to manage events and catering orders through Triple Seat Strong negotiation abilities for vendor relations, purchasing negotiations, and conflict resolution. Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, POS systems, cashiering, and retail math including basic math skills necessary for daily operations. Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting training & development programs.
