The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, controlling food costs, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day kitchen operations. Supervise, train, coach, and schedule kitchen staff. Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of dishes. Maintain food quality, portion control, and recipe standards. Monitor inventory levels and order food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed. Control food and labor costs. Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and food safety regulations. Assist with menu development and seasonal items. Handle employee performance issues and support staff. Coordinate with front-of-house management. Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and repairs. Qualifications 10+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience, preferably in a pizza, Italian, or high-volume restaurant. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Experience with inventory management, food ordering, and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Food Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is welcome but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods.
