Gather on Maui Kaanapali | Maui, Hawaii Gather Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced, driven, and hospitality-focused General Manager to lead our newest location, Gather on Maui Kaanapali , opening soon. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new restaurant from the ground up. The General Manager will play a key role in the pre-opening process, including hiring and developing the team, establishing operating standards, preparing the restaurant for opening, and building a strong culture from day one. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that exceptional restaurants are built through great people, consistent execution, strong financial management, and genuine hospitality. What You'll Do Lead the pre-opening and successful launch of Gather on Maui Kaanapali Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing restaurant team Build a positive, accountable, and hospitality-driven workplace culture Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations Maintain exceptional standards for guest experience, service, cleanliness, and presentation Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership to ensure strong FOH/BOH communication and execution Manage labor, scheduling, purchasing, operating expenses, and controllable costs Actively manage restaurant financials, including P&L performance, labor percentages, COGS, and profitability Drive sales through outstanding operations, local relationships, events, and repeat business Handle guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into opportunities to build loyalty Coach and develop managers and hourly team members through consistent feedback and accountability Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, and employment requirements Partner with Gather Restaurant Group leadership on company initiatives, standards, and long-term growth Who We're Looking For 3+ years of General Manager or senior restaurant management experience Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment Strong leadership and team-development skills Solid understanding of restaurant financials and P&L management Experience managing labor and controlling operating costs Excellent communication and organizational skills Hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team High standards for hospitality and guest experience Ability to remain composed and make strong decisions in a fast-paced environment Restaurant opening experience is highly preferred Experience in destination, resort, or high-volume tourism markets is a plus Why Gather?
