Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively. As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional hospitality while maintaining a positive work environment. Train and develop team members in various roles, including culinary, bar service, and banquet operations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and increase operational efficiency. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and menu development. Build and publish a weekly schedule for front of house staff. Skills Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or quick service fast food restaurants. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and training. Knowledge of Toast POS system or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary knowledge is a plus, particularly related to menu planning and food presentation. Experience in banquet management is desirable but not mandatory.
