Job Description
Overview Join our growing café team as a Cafe Shift Manager/Barista! This dynamic role combines leadership and hands-on barista skills plus food prep to create an energetic, welcoming environment for both customers and team members. You'll oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and craft delicious coffee beverages and made to order food that keep our guests coming back. Duties Lead daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent service delivery Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages and food Manage cash handling, POS transactions using systems using square Supervise team members on shift, providing guidance, training, and motivation to uphold service standards Maintain food safety and food handling protocols, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health regulations Assist with food preparation and serving of food items as needed Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail Foster a positive customer experience through friendly interactions, prompt service, and problem resolution Qualifications Proven barista experience with a strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization Previous experience in food service or café environments preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during shifts Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales reconciliation Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise team members effectively during shifts Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in café operations Weekends required Holidays required Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm for coffee meets your talent for leadership!
