What You Will Do Assist in supervising daily food production and service operations within a main dining or food service unit. Support overall administrative functions while ensuring consistent, high-quality operations. Orient, train, and supervise employees to successfully carry out assigned responsibilities and prepare for increased responsibility. Schedule staff effectively to meet business and operational needs. Evaluate employee performance, providing recognition, coaching, and corrective guidance as needed. Foster positive public relations with students, guests, and university personnel to create an exceptional dining experience. Monitor customer service and proactively address questions, concerns, and service needs. Order and requisition food and supplies in accordance with established specifications; recommend product pricing
FLSA:
Non-Exempt High school diploma or equivalent. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below: Coursework in business, dietetics, culinary arts, food science, nutrition, hospitality, hotel, catering, restaurant, or institutional management, or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) Food service supervisory work experience.
