Join our team at Kiddie Academy of Oak Park as a dedicated and energetic Cook/Food Service Manager! We are seeking an individual who is passionate about preparing nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for our children in a family-style setting within our Academy.

Responsibilities:

Prepare healthy and tasty meals and snacks following a designated menu under the guidance of the Academy Director. Maintain high standards of food preparation, service, and kitchen hygiene as per corporate policies, state health department guidelines, and national accreditation standards. Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure sufficient quantities are available for the Academy. Implement strategies to prevent food cross-contamination and cater to children with dietary restrictions or allergies. Complete required documentation accurately and on time according to Kiddie Academy and regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with daily Academy tasks as needed, such as light housekeeping and providing breaks for classroom teachers. Support the Academy in achieving enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.

Job Qualifications:

Meet all state regulatory requirements, including background check, TB test/medical form, CPR certification, First Aid certification, Food Handlers Manager Permit, Safe Sleep training (if applicable), and Blood Borne Pathogens training. Proficient in using basic computer skills. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating serving portions. Previous experience in a licensed preschool or early development center preferred but not required.
