Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and inventory management, with experience in catering and dietary departments being a plus. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and leading the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and adherence to dietary requirements. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations. Manage inventory control by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling, and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during catering events or restaurant operations. Help develop seasonal menus that reflect local ingredients and culinary trends. Participate in bartending duties as needed to support beverage service during events. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, inventory management, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate various dietary needs. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
