Job Description

The Director of Food Services (CDM) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and service. You will manage the dietary department staff, ensure compliance with nutritional standards, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support the well-being of our residents. The Director of Food Services (CDM) will also maintain regulatory compliance and ensure the highest quality food safety practices are followed. Apply today!
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen and dietary staff Monitor food safety and sanitation procedures to meet health codes Maintain inventory, order food and supplies, and manage department budget Coordinate with nursing staff on special diets and resident preferences Conduct regular quality assurance audits and participate in care planning meetings
Qualifications:
Certification as a Dietary Manager, Food Service Management Degree (or currently be enrolled/or willing to enroll in a CDM program) that meets state and federal care regulations At least two years of progressive and relevant experience Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling required Current Safe Food Handler certificate a plus Basic math skills Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Advena Living, Your Career.
