We need you:
Saturday shift required Drive and energy High school diploma or equivalent 18+ years old Valid driver's license / reliable transportation 4 years of kitchen management experience required The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive learning and coaching environment, where all employees are valued and treated with respect and dignity. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will conduct themselves in a professional manner with integrity and honesty while managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will inspire the staff to high levels of service and hospitality towards our employees and customers by creating and maintaining an accurate, fun, caring, courteous, and respectful environment.- Carry out all instructions/direction from the Kitchen Manager and General Manager (GM) and assume KM role during the absence of the KM
- Assume role of any Kitchen position including, but not limited to, supervisor, production smokehouse, and dish
- Oversee, train, develop, and manage all Supervisors, and employees
- Oversee and manage all kitchen operations
- Direct employees regarding operational and procedural issues
- Ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
- Supervise, coach, develop, mentor and discipline employees when necessary
- Recommends disciplinary action for approval to make employment decisions
- Train new back of the house employees as necessary
- Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, and establishing performance expectations
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure kitchen operation is smooth
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen/dining areas
- Assist in ensuring compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service
- Maintain restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Maintain ServSafe certification and uphold all ServSafe guidelines
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
- Complete accident reports promptly in the event
- Perform other duties as assigned
