Both parents have demanding careers, and one often works from home, balancing calls and meetings and being in and out throughout the day. While we feel fortunate for the life we've built, we've found ourselves squarely in "survival mode," keeping up with the daily list but missing out on the things that recharge us, like exercise, reading, and sitting down to a real dinner together. We're looking for someone who can take the behind the scenes weight off our shoulders, so we can actually be present with our kids in the evenings. Our home is energetic and kid-filled. We love to laugh, joke around, and play, and we're looking for someone who enjoys that kind of environment. We value honest communication and are still learning what it looks like to ask for help. We're excited to find someone we can rely on, build trust with, and hopefully have as a consistent part of our household for years to come. Who You Are / What We're Looking For You're friendly, proactive, and self-assured, with a sense of pride in keeping a household running smoothly. You're warm and capable around young children, including a baby, and comfortable stepping in when needed. You're the kind of person who notices what needs to be done and does it without being asked. You give direct, complete answers and don't need to be pulled for information. You're receptive to feedback and welcome guidance on how a family likes things done. You don't take yourself too seriously, but you take your work seriously. The ideal candidate will thrive in a home that values inclusivity, evidence-based decision-making, and respect for people of all backgrounds and identities. Most importantly, you understand that being trusted in someone's home, especially around young children, is something you earn and respect.
