School Cafeteria Manager (Full-Time) Join a Leader in School Food Service We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and service-oriented School Cafeteria Manager to lead daily operations at one of our partner schools. Our cafeteria operates in a modern, college-style café environment, offering breakfast and hot lunch with a focus on à la carte and grab-and-go dining. Position Summary The School Cafeteria Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily food service operations, supervising team members, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring exceptional service for our school community. This position also supports special events and works closely with school administration and company leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily breakfast, snack, and lunch service. Lead, supervise, and develop a team of approximately 8-12 employees. Create a positive, safe, and customer-focused work environment. Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate staff performance. Maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations. Monitor food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. Operate and oversee the point-of-sale (POS) system. Order food and supplies while managing inventory levels and controlling costs. Maintain accurate records, including temperature logs, production records, and inventories. Coordinate and support catered events and special school functions. Communicate effectively with school administration, faculty, and company leadership. Conduct regular team meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by the District Manager. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, or food service environment. Previous experience supervising multiple employees. ServSafe® Certification (required or ability to obtain upon hire). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and POS systems. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must successfully pass a comprehensive federal background check. Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the operational needs of the school and company.
