Job Description

Kitchen Manager / Chef - Salty Days Cohasset Salty Days Cohasset is looking for a Kitchen Manager / Chef to lead our back-of-house team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who loves working in a busy kitchen, developing a strong team, and creating a positive work environment. We're looking for a leader first—a person who can motivate people, build culture, and lead by example. Responsibilities Manage and lead the kitchen team on a daily basis Create weekly schedules and manage labor costs Place food and kitchen supply orders Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are followed Work closely with ownership and front-of-house management Work the line and lead service during busy shifts Requirements Previous kitchen management or chef experience Strong leadership and team-building skills Ability to create schedules and manage inventory/orders Must be willing to work on the line regularly Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong communication skills Most importantly: be a good person who treats teammates with respect and helps create a positive workplace culture What We're Looking For We're not just looking for a chef; we're looking for someone who can build a team, earn respect, and create an environment where people enjoy coming to work.
