In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs while ensuring their well-being and happiness. As a key member of our daycare staff, you will interact with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, requiring strong animal handling skills and a love for pets. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior. Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area by regularly cleaning play areas, and equipment. Administer basic care for the dogs, including feeding, watering, and providing medication as needed. Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to management. Assist in managing customer service interactions, including greeting pet owners and providing updates on their pets. Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger breeds. Experience The ideal candidate will have experience or skills in the following areas: Previous work in a dog daycare setting is preferred. Background as a veterinary technician or experience in veterinary clinics is a plus. Familiarity with pet sitting or dog walking services. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques for safe handling of dogs. Proficiency in animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both staff and pets.
