Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and ensure the smooth operation of our food service establishment. This pivotal role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills, overseeing food preparation, staff supervision, inventory control, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive team environment while delivering exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold quality standards, and support the overall success of our tearooms and catering. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation in line with established standards. Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations to promote team development. Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to uphold health department requirements. Utilize Square POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to guarantee consistent product quality and customer satisfaction. Lead shift management activities, coordinate with front-of-house teams, and handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Demonstrated management skills with experience supervising hospitality teams and managing restaurant operations. Knowledge of food safety management practices, inventory control, and food industry regulations. Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as staff training, interviewing, and team leadership. Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is a plus; banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
