Toby's Dinner Theatre in Columbia i s seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and guest-focused Front of House / Floor Manager to lead evening and weekend operations in our unique dinner theatre environment. As the region's premier dinner theatre, Toby's combines exceptional dining with award-winning live entertainment, creating memorable experiences for thousands of guests each season. We are looking for a manager who can help ensure every guest receives outstanding service from the moment they arrive until the final curtain call. Position Overview The Front of House / Floor Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing nightly dining room and theatre operations during performances. This position is responsible for managing front-of-house service, supporting staff, maintaining smooth operations, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience throughout each performance. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who remains calm under pressure, communicates effectively, and enjoys working collaboratively in a lively, guest-centered environment. Responsibilities Include Managing front-of-house and restaurant floor operations during dinner and performance service Supervising, supporting, and coordinating front-of-house, host, and wait staff Hiring, training and scheduling bussing and dessert staff Ensuring smooth, efficient service and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction Assisting with staff direction, workflow management, and problem-solving during performances Addressing guest concerns professionally, courteously, and promptly Helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and team-oriented atmosphere Reconciling nightly receipts and completing end-of-night floor closeout procedures Communicating effectively with kitchen, bar, box office, and theatre staff to ensure seamless operations Upholding company service standards and assisting with staff training as needed Schedule Full-time position Approximately 40-45 hours per week Evening and weekend availability is required Performance-based schedule, including holidays as needed Qualifications Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, or theatre operations required Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and during live performances Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
