General MangerSummary:
Reporting to the General Manager of Hog Neck Golf Course, the Chef creates a variety of menu items for a 26-seat café. The Chef also caters events of up to 200 guests for the pavilion space.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan the menu for both the Café and Catering Venues.
- Oversee the preparation of all menu items, ensuring they meet the high standards that our clientele have come to expect.
- Lead the Café staff, including ongoing training and mentoring.
- Create weekly work schedules and enforce opening, closing, and operational procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and work with vendors.
- Oversee the Food & Beverage budget and ensure steps are taken to minimize expenses and alleviate food waste.
- Ad to all health and safety regulations, including safe preparation and storage of food and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and utensils, repair and replace when needed.
- Work closely with the GM to ensure all facets of the operation are working in conjunction with the golf operations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working in restaurant kitchens and front-of-the-house operations.
- Solid understanding of different culinary techniques.
- Experience in managing a staff of Food & Beverage employees.
- Awareness and understanding of culinary and beverage trends.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Management experience a plus.
- A strong attention to detail.
