Job Description

St. John Regional Catholic School is seeking a dependable and organized Part-Time Cafeteria Manager (9:30 - 1:30) to oversee the daily operation of our school lunch program. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between the school and our outsourced food service provider, ensuring that students receive quality meals in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our cafeteria program, with the potential to transition from an outsourced model to an in-house meal preparation program. Essential Functions Coordinate daily meal service with the school's contracted food service provider. Receive, organize, and distribute meal orders. Monitor meal quality, accuracy, and student satisfaction. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Manage cafeteria inventory, supplies, and equipment. Supervise cafeteria operations during meal service. Communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and food service vendors. Assist with recordkeeping, ordering, and program reporting as needed. Participate in planning and evaluating future enhancements to the school's food service program. Support the development of a potential transition to an in-house cooking and meal preparation model. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and staff while modeling the values and ideals of the Catholic Church. Position Qualification Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in food service, cafeteria management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred. Ability to interact positively with students, faculty, and families. Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming dining environment.
