The Assistant Program Manager Disability Services provides on-site support in compliance with the health, safety, funding, and program standards in a disability services residential setting. This position is responsible for supporting the Program Manager, Disability Services, with all daily aspects of the program operations. The position also calls for direct support for individuals served, as needed, during on-duty hours.

Essential Job Functions:

Support the infrastructure required for the personal growth of the individuals in the program. Provide prompting to residents for personal care and social tasks. Advocate for consumer's rights and assist in utilizing facilitative, therapeutic services with an overall goal of community inclusion. Foster engagement with both the broader community where the individuals live, as well as amongst the community within the house. Coordinate community and group functions and daily activities. Support individuals in all aspects of wellness, with a daily goal of improving their mental and physical health. Complete all documentation of person-centered plans, training goals, reports, and other areas of program compliance in a timely manner. Advise the Program Manager, Disability Services of any special needs or emergencies and recommend follow-up. Develop and maintain positive relationships with consumers, families, and other agencies. Ensure staff complete initial and on-going training requirements. Ensure that staff schedules meet the needs of the individuals served. Provide on-site training and model appropriate interactions with individuals served. Supervise and provide regular feedback to staff. Participate in and contribute to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. CRMA and DSP certification are required. A minimum of two years' experience working with people with intellectual disabilities/autism spectrum disorder is required. Knowledge of behavioral patterns related to individuals with disability services. At least one year of supervisory experience in the Human Services field is required. Excellent organizational, time and record management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to initiate work independently, flexibility of scheduling for work hours. A valid Maine driver's license and good driving record are required.
