Geddy s is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team in downtown Bar Harbor.

We are a busy, high-volume restaurant looking for a confident, hands-on leader who is organized under pressure and comfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day back-of-house operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen management or strong supervisory experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, quality, and presentationLead, supervise, schedule, and support kitchen staffMaintain consistent food quality, portioning, and service standardsOversee ordering, inventory, stock levels, and waste controlMonitor food and labor costsMaintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safetyTrain and mentor kitchen staffWork closely with ownership, management, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serviceKeep the kitchen organized and efficient during high-volume service

Qualifications:

Kitchen management or strong supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurantStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsSolid understanding of kitchen operations, inventory, and cost controlThorough knowledge of food safety and sanitationAbility to remain calm and effective during busy serviceExperience training and managing kitchen staff

Compensation:

$28-$32/hour, depending on experienceFull-time position. The role will initially be hourly, with the opportunity to transition to a salaried position next year. Geddy s operates through early December and reopens in early March.
