Opportunity-to-Hire Schedule:

Full-Time; schedule will vary based on restaurant needs. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Pay Rate:

$25.00/hr. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a local restaurant in Fort Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing both employees and the operational needs of a busy restaurant. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, staff scheduling, inventory management, budgeting, food safety, general facility maintenance, and overall customer satisfaction. This position will work closely with ownership to help ensure efficient operations, control costs, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and consistently provide a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have previous restaurant or food service management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to balance operational responsibilities with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure efficient service. Provide leadership, direction, and support to restaurant staff. Develop and maintain employee schedules based on staffing and operational needs. Assist with hiring, training, onboarding, and ongoing employee development. Monitor staffing levels and labor costs. Manage food, beverage, supply, and other restaurant inventories and coordinate with vendors. Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency by monitoring budgets, expenses, food costs, and other operational costs. Maintain ServSafe standards and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements. Ensure employees follow proper food handling, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Monitor overall customer satisfaction and ensure guests receive friendly, timely, and professional service. Respond to customer questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Follow up on customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service and the overall dining experience. Promote a customer-focused culture among restaurant staff and reinforce expectations for quality service. Monitor restaurant equipment and facility maintenance needs. Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Assist with cash handling, reporting, recordkeeping, and other administrative responsibilities. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional restaurant environment. Work closely with ownership and assist with additional duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education required. Previous restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience required. Previous supervisory or restaurant management experience strongly preferred. ServSafe certification preferred; ability to obtain certification may be required. Experience with employee scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and budgeting. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer, administrative, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform lifting associated with restaurant operations.
