Closing Shift Lead - Mancini's Italian Deli About the Role Mancini's Italian Deli is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Closing Shift Lead to own our end-of-day operations. This person is the last line of quality before we open the next morning — and a critical communication link to our morning manager. If you take pride in leaving things better than you found them, this role is for you. Saturday availability is required. Responsibilities Make sandwiches and serve patrons the Mancini way. Lead and supervise the closing team, delegating tasks and following through to completion Complete all closing checklists thoroughly — cleaning, food storage, labeling, dating, and restocking Count and reconcile the register at close; report any discrepancies Document inventory needs, equipment issues, and any incidents in a nightly closing report Communicate clearly with the morning manager so the opening team is never caught off guard Secure the building at the end of every shift Hold yourself and your team to Mancini's standards every single shift Schedule Saturday shifts required (non-negotiable) Afternoon through close; additional weekday evenings available What We're Looking For Prior deli, restaurant, or food service experience preferred Strong attention to detail — you notice what's off and you fix it Clear, reliable communicator (written and verbal) Supervisory or lead experience a plus Food safety/sanitation knowledge; ServSafe certification a plus Must be 18+ What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Employee meal discounts A close-knit, family-oriented team Room to grow within a beloved local business Paid time off
