POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the overall operation of the restaurant.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following. Conduct periodic and regular inspections of unit to observe and ensure standards for quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas, equipment and employee appearance. Inventory Control - proper rotation and tracking of stock, ordering daily and weekly inventory. Assist with weekly scheduling of employees; oversee proper opening and closing of the shop. Assist with managing employees including delegating roles and responsibilities, hiring, firing, and corrective action plans. Maintain knowledge and skill of each position and fill in or assist if necessary. Coordinate and assist in all training activities, to include the identification and analysis of training needs to address any deficiencies. Implement proper food, safety and sanitation regulations. Assist in resolving customer complaints. Assist in the interviewing and on boarding process of new hires. Prepare operational reports as needed. Assist with weekly administrative duties as needed. Performing other work-related duties as assigned.Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES
) Management or Culinary degree preferred but not required. Previous restaurant experience required. Previous supervisory experience required. Willing to work a flexible schedule - weekends and nights. Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered. Ability to work in a high-stress environment. Strong communication (written and verbal), leadership and organizational skills. MUST be able to provide a current ServSafe Certification or receive one within 90 days of employment.THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION - WITH COMPETITIVE BENEFITS
