Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to oversee daily operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will over see day-to-day experiences, operational efficiency, financial performance, and team development. This roles requires a hands-on leader skilled in food service management, team building, compliance, inventory, and restaurant technology platforms
Key Responsibilities Operations and Service Excellence:
Direct daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation to ensure taste, flavor, and visual standards. Greet guests, handle complaints, and step into service roles (cooking, clearing, and service) as needed.
Staff Leadership & Development:
Recruit, schedule, train and evaluate staff performance. Foster an active listening environment, motivate team members and resolve internal conflicts constructively.
Financial & Inventory Management:
Manage budgets, calculate menu costs/pricing, count daily cash receipts, and handle bank deposits. Order supplies, schedule deliveries, and manage food, beverage, and equipment inventories.
Restaurant Technologies & Systems:
Oversee daily operation and programming of Toats POS system-including menu updates, user permissions, floor plans, and integrations. Utilize Toast analytics to monitor labor costs, track inventory, calculate waste, and evaluate sales performance.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce health, sanitation, fire, and safety regulations. Maintain all operational and regulatory documentation required by governmental agencies.
Facility & Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate building maintenance, equipment repairs, and third-party services.
Communication & Social Skills:
Strong active listening, clear verbal communication, problem-solving and conflict reconciliation abilities.
Technical & System Skills:
Ability to analyze operational data, evaluate process performance, and trouble shoot equipment or workflow errors.
Software Proficiency:
Hands on experience with Toast POS, inventory management software, Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace, and Canva.
Financial & Scheduling:
Accounting software, employee scheduling software. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices; must be ServSafe Manager certified or hold equivalent certification. Valid certifications for alcohol service such as TIPS, ServSAFE Alcohol, TAM, or other approved alcohol training certifications are required. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control. Knowledge of local health regulations and compliance standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Pay:
$55,089.95 - $66,344.88 per year
