POSITION SUMMARY
As a Service Manager, you will lead the daily operations of the service department, ensuring the efficient repair, maintenance, and readiness of equipment while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. You will oversee technicians, manage workflow, coordinate resources, and drive continuous improvement in service performance, safety, and profitability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee daily service department operations including scheduling, workflow, and technician productivity Lead, coach, and develop service technicians and support staff for high performance and engagement Ensure equipment repairs, maintenance, and inspections are completed efficiently and to Ironhide standards Coordinate service schedules and manage backlog to meet customer timelines and minimize equipment downtime Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing service needs, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Collaborate with parts, rental, and sales departments to ensure seamless operations and equipment availability Monitor department performance, track key metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability Oversee parts inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure timely access to required materials Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards Review and manage service documentation, repair orders, and operational reports for accuracy Support budgeting and cost control efforts within the service department Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to promote continuous development Stay current on Bobcat equipment technology, manufacturer updates, and service best practices
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or business education preferred Experience in service management, equipment repair, or a related field within construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment industries preferred Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop employees Solid understanding of equipment service operations, repair processes, and maintenance practices Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure Experience with Microsoft Office and service/repair management systems preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process improvement Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a shop or yard environment for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ability to work in both indoor shop conditions and outdoor environments, including exposure to weather and equipment noise Ability to safely operate or be around heavy equipment Ironhide Equipment is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
