Assistant General Manager - Full‑Service Restaurant & Catering Operations Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at our full‑service restaurant in Forest Lake, MN. This role requires strong leadership in both Front of House and Back of House operations, along with hands‑on catering management experience . You will oversee service flow, kitchen coordination, staff development, and the successful execution of catered events. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily FOH and BOH operations to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences. Manage catering operations including event planning, menu coordination, staffing, logistics, setup, execution, and post‑event breakdown. Oversee food preparation standards, cooking quality, food handling, and kitchen safety compliance. Direct FOH hospitality, table flow, guest interactions, and service recovery. Train, coach, and evaluate staff to maintain a skilled, motivated team. Utilize POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or similar) for order processing, cash handling, and reporting. Maintain inventory control through stock monitoring, ordering, and regular audits. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally. Support the General Manager with scheduling, operational planning, and team leadership. Required Experience Proven leadership experience in full‑service restaurant management . Strong FOH and BOH operational experience . Catering management experience (event coordination, staffing, logistics, execution). Prior supervisory or assistant manager experience in casual or full‑service dining. Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or comparable). Solid understanding of food safety, inventory control, and kitchen operations. Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
