Full-time Pay:
Starting at $17.00 per hour Bonus opportunities available 90-day performance review with opportunity for wage increase based on performance Blackboard is seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and help oversee our Front of House team. We are looking for a hands-on leader who values hospitality, communicates well, and takes ownership of both their team and daily operations. This position combines management responsibilities with active involvement in service. The Bar Manager will oversee scheduling, ordering, inventory, cash accountability, staff leadership, and guest experience while working alongside the team during regular service and busy periods. Key Responsibilities Create and manage Bar and Front of House schedules based on staffing and business needs Lead, train, coach, and support Bar and FOH employees while maintaining clear communication and expectations Manage Bar and FOH ordering, inventory levels, receiving, and product organization Monitor beverage costs, inventory discrepancies, waste, portion control, and overall bar efficiency Oversee cash handling, till reconciliation, POS procedures, and cash accountability Maintain high standards for guest service, cleanliness, organization, beverage quality, and professionalism Ensure opening, closing, responsible alcohol service, and applicable food safety procedures are consistently followed Address guest concerns and routine staff or operational issues professionally Assist with beverage development, seasonal cocktails, drink specials, and promotions Help coordinate Bar and FOH operations for private events, large parties, and special events Work closely with ownership to identify and address staffing, operational, and performance concerns Work regular bartending/FOH shifts, remain actively involved during busy service periods, and assist with emergency shift coverage when reasonably necessary Lead by example and help create an organized, accountable, and positive work environment What We're Looking For Previous bartending and/or Front of House restaurant experience required; 2+ years preferred Previous management, leadership, or supervisory experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills Knowledge of bar operations, beverage service, inventory control, and responsible alcohol service Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable Strong attention to detail, particularly with ordering, inventory, and cash handling Ability to remain professional and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative Experience with Toast POS preferred Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume periods as business needs require Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to serve alcohol Two references required, including at least one professional reference Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $17.00 per hour 90-day performance review with opportunity for a wage increase based on performance Bonus opportunities available Full-time position Employee discount Flexible scheduling Leadership and advancement opportunities How to Apply Apply with your resume and a brief description of your relevant bartending, restaurant, and/or leadership experience.
