SUMMARY:
The Cafeteria Manager shall direct the school lunch program and supervise the school lunch employees within their cafeterias.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. Select and recommend for employment, all kitchen personnel with assistance of the Assistant Superintendent. Provide supervision and training of all employees. Purchase all foods and supplies with the assistance of the Assistant Superintendent. In cooperation with the Assistant Superintendent, assist in purchasing and replacement of necessary equipment. Plan all menus sufficiently in advance to provide the necessary publication and distribution of the menus and provident he necessary food to meet the requirements. Be directly responsible for maintaining all records and submitting information required for local, state and federal agencies. Be responsible for the reporting to the Assistant Superintendent, all necessary payroll reports and expenditures. Cooperate with the Principal in conducting the program and its related activities. Provide and maintain a standard of sanitation and health conditions in their respective kitchens and in the handing and preparation of foods. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cafeteria staff. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED. Cafeteria management and/or mass meal preparation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Safe Serve Certification
EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Nine (9) month employee. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.
